Tech's WLAX program is lacking ACC level talent...

There are a handful of ACC level players but most of our roster is made up of CAA level talent. All the other ACC programs recruit well because of their WLAX traditions and Top 15 rankings. The fact that we have never defeated JMU (a very good CAA team, usually ranked #20-25) and have only 2 ACC wins since joining the conference backs my statement. This season we lost to ODU. We lost to Navy. IMHO, our talent level is that of the top half CAA team. Anyone who follows women's lacrosse, can see within 10 minutes of a game that we are outmanned by our ACC opponents.

Megan Burker may be a good coach but her talent simply doesn't compare to the other ACC programs. If Louisville can be competitive, I see no reason why we can't. It's also true that BC turned things around quickly. It seems like Tech's academics and campus would be attractive to WLAX recruits.

It would be great to have an assistant who organizes the offense. Whit may have to make a decision on Burker's future after this season. I only wish the best for her and our WLAX program.
